THE SCHOOL

Teachers
Circle of Peace School teachers inspire their students through their love of teaching. They bring excellent life skills and perspectives into the classroom. Each teacher is gifted in a unique way. They employ incredible talents in their teaching. Given a limited amount of resources to work with, they are very creative.

The Lower School
Currently there are 105 students in the lower grades. This includes students from the Infant class, Middle class, Top class, Primary 1 and Primary 2. The Lower School has five classrooms and five teachers:

The Upper School
Currently, there are 92 students in the upper primary grades. This includes classes from Grade 3 to Grade 7. There are five classrooms and six teachers:

Academics and Testing
Despite meager conditions, the school has produced the highest-testing and most well-behaved students in the area.

• In 2004 our students who enrolled in 1995 sat for their Primary Leaving Examination (PLE). Fifteen pupils were tested; nine passed in Division 1 and six passed in Division 2. This was the first time PLE tests were administered at our school.
• In 2005 we tested 8 students; five passed in Division 1 and three in Division 2.
• In 2006 we tested 9 students; eight passed in Division 1 and one passed in Division 3.
• In 2007 we tested 15 students; twelve passed in Division 1 and one passed in Divisions 2, 3 and 4.

We received congratulations from the District Education Officer (DEO), Mr. Muteekanga. Because of the great success on our PLE tests, Kibuye Primary School has requested that we have our PLE at their school.

Boarding House
There is a boy’s dormitory and a girl’s dormitory at the school where 30 students reside. Students in grades five and six may apply to live at the school. Grade seven students are required to live at the school so that they can focus only on their studies without being disturbed at home.
